PILATES

WHAT IS PILATES?
Pilates is a form of low-impact exercise that stretches, strengthens, and aligns your body all at the same time while also improving flexibility. Pilates moves tend to target the core, although the exercises work other areas of your body as well.
Pilates offers plenty of benefits to your body, no matter your fitness background. You’ll improve your posture, focus on bodily alignment, and get one heck of a core workout. A typical Pilates workout is 45 minutes to an hour long.
THE REFORMER
It is a bed-like frame with a flat platform on it, called the carriage, which rolls back and forth on wheels within the frame. The carriage is attached to one end of the reformer by a set of springs.
The Pilates reformer is an amazing piece of apparatus unlike no other, which helps you to find length and space in the body while under spring tension. Far from just a workout for your core, this piece of apparatus helps create internal pressure to elongate the spine, joints and muscles which then leads to greater flexibility, strength, stamina and a more balanced posture.

THE CHAIR
The chair is essentially a box with a padded seat on top and a pedal attached to one side of the box by springs. These springs allow for the tension of the pedal to be adjusted. Depending on the model of chair, the pedal is either in one piece or split down the middle. A split pedal makes the equipment more versatile and supports rotation-type movements. The chair is known to be the most challenging piece of equipment. It is very effective for building arm and leg strength. For this reason, the chair can be used to improve sports performance
THE BODHI
The Bodhi Suspension System includes two independent ropes which, when installed, create four suspension points. Removing the body from arrangement with gravity fires the center soundness muscles and creates coordinated, entire body strength and dynamic adaptability. Furthermore, each point decision adds strength, adaptability, balance and proprioceptive difficulties.
